Up for sale today is the RARE and fabulous Franciscan Starburst Gravy Boat w/Ladle Set. This Gravy Boat and Ladle Set is amazing and certainly makes a statement.....it will absolutely be the star of any dining table...literally!!

Franciscan manufactured this iconic pattern from the 1950s into the 1960s. The base of the Gravy Boat is marked with the Franciscan TV Mark (see picture 8) the ladle does not have a manufacturing marking.

The Gravy Boat measures approx 4 1/2" tall X 7 1/2" wide on the underplate and the ladle measures approx 7" long.

The Gravy Boat and Ladle Set looks to have the typical manufacturing flaws like some glaze/pottery pops and possibly very minor flaws to the star decorations....however this is from manufacture and should not be a concern. There could also be some glazing flaws, also not a big deal and would be from manufacture as well. I am incredibly picky when looking over these pieces and it is likely that you will not even notice any of the flaws I am describing.

This Gravy Boat and Ladle Set has no chips, cracks or repairs. I would consider both pieces near mint/mint. They do not appear to have ever been used, or very rarely used, and each piece only has the most minor glaze scuffs on the surface. The glaze is quite glossy and in beautiful shape on both the ladle and the gravy boat - there are a few pottery pops in the glaze from manufacture. Overall this set is in fantastic shape and would be a great addition to your Starburst collection.

As with any vintage item normal manufacturing anomalies and wear may exist. Please understand you are buying a "vintage" item that has been around for years and years and years - thus the item should not be considered "mint" unless I expressly state the item as such. Small flaws are usually present in almost every vintage item and should not be considered a "problem" as it is most likely how the piece was created. With that said I am always VERY careful to note and picture any and all problems that are evident and noticeable or that I believe came after manufacture. Please refer to the pictures in this listing as they are also part of the description of this item.
