5 Inch Hard Side Briefcase With Sculpted Leather Lion Insert & Gold Tone Hardware- 2 Keys Incl- VGC - Be A Lion order King!, If you want the individual you to shine through the circle of life.
If you want the individual you to shine through the circle of life, this is the briefcase for you. Maybe it's because I'm a fan of The Lion King or maybe it's because I was born in August and I'm a Leo, but whatever it is, when I saw this case I was immediately attracted to it. This is an unusual unbranded briefcase with a beautiful sculpted leather lion inserted on the front.
This is a 5 inch wide briefcase with plenty of room for your laptop, books and files. This case has dual keyed latches and dual keys for those latches. The hardware is gold toned brass. This includes the dual locks, handle order anchors, inside hinge, rear hinges, and the feet protecting the leather on the base of the bag. The lock is functional and currently in an unlocked position. The handle is made of thick padded leather.
The interior of the case is lined with a textured fabric. The hinge appears to be gold toned brass. The dual compartment fan file is made of a textured fabric lining. The fan file is held in place with a single leather strap that snaps on and off to allow for expansion of the fan files.
Dimensions:
Length: 17.5 inches
Height: 12.5 inches
Width: 5 inches
Condition
This briefcase is in very good condition. There are not rips, tears or holes. All hardware and locks are functional. It is structurally sound. However, like most vintage cases this case has some scuffs, scratches, and spots. There is a small white mark on the ridge of one side and the inside has a spot. ( see collage) Please see photos for best depiction of condition of this briefcase.
This is an unbranded briefcase so we have not been able to ascertain when the manufacturer began manufacturing briefcases. However, based on the materials used in the construction of this case and the style, it is my opinion this case was manufactured sometime in the 1960s to mid 1980s. We do not have any vintage catalogs showing this specific bag, however this item is similar to bags we have seen offered in other manufacturer catalogs dated during that time frame.
