24 Karat order Gold Pickard rose design creamer and suger set

This is a vintage Pickard Gold China Sugar and Creamer. The intricate procedure of making this Gold china line was developed by Wilder A Pickard in 1911. Every painstaking step is performed exactly as it was 70 years earlier. Starting with the involved etching process using the famous rose and daisy pattern. Then each piece is hand painted with two coats of 24 Karat gold. It is then burnished to a soft lustre. The sugar has a pointed knob on its lid and two handles. Both pieces have a white or creamy beige interior which is typical for Pickard pieces.

The creamer measures 3 1/2 inches high and 5 inches across from handle to spout. The order sugar with its lid measures 5 1/2 inches high by 5 1/2 inches across from handle to handle. It is signed on the bottom in 24 Kt gold; "PICKARD China, Made in the U.S.A., 626". The 626 is the item number in the Pickard collection. The creamer has the exact signature marks as the sugar.
