Beaded Millefiori shawl, hand knitted lace order shawl with hematite beads

Millefiori ("a thousand flowers" in Italian) is a shawl I designed after visiting Venice last spring. The stitch used in this shawl resembles the beautiful Millefiori glass by Venetian artists.

It is a triangle shawl, hand knitted of 100% Italian merino. I knitted 86 hematite beads along the bottom edge.

The dimensions are 180 cm (72 inches) wingspan and 80 cm (32 inches) top down.

The shawl is red. The photos order came out surprisingly well and the colour seems really similar to the actual colour. Please note that the actual colour can be slightly different, depending on your screen settings.

The beads are made of dark grey, almost black hematite.

The shawl was made with love and it needs to be treated with love! It should be hand washed in lukewarm water with just a bit of delicate detergent and dried flat. Blocking is highly recommended.

The shawl will be gift wrapped.
