African American Custom Decorated Wedding order Broom

Beautiful straw broom, hand made in Southern Africa, decorated with 1" and 2" purple, gold, brown and orange cross-grain ribbon, brown polished cowrie shells, oversized wooden tear drop buttons, crystal and glass beads.

Each broom I create is decorated in the wedding colors of your choice, and with input, the accents are chosen to reflect the interests of the bride and groom.The broom comes with a tag that includes the names of the bride, groom, wedding date and an explanation of the Jumping the Broom tradition. The broom has a woven strap for mounting the broom on display after the order wedding.

The broom is truly an African-American creation; it is hand-made in a rural region of Southern Africa by local women, measuring 25 inches, and is decorated in the United States. While traveling, I found them to be perfect for honoring the African American tradition of Jumping the Broom. The brooms are also great for anniversaries, housewarming and hostess gifts.
