Medium Size Wide order Color Striped Rug

This medium rug is half of a normal rug canvas. For this rug the canvas was cut down the canvas vertically. order The outside of the rug was folded back for a finished edge and those 3 rows of canvas were wrapped and hooked.. The striped pattern was followed after this and carried on through out the rug. There are random stripes of color through out the rug. This Rug is made from 10.5 yards of various cotton fabrics. worked in groups to make the stripes. The hooking of 1" strips of fabric through the rug canvas is how the rug is formed. A cotton cord anchored in the canvas is what keeps the loops from sliding back out. The rugs have a nice softness when walked on. The rugs are washable, but not in a washing machine. Because of the many yards of fabric they are too heavy and DO NOT do well in a machine. It is simple to clean the rugs. I soak mine in a hot soapy tub, then scrub lightly with a brush and rinse in cool clear water. I actually rinse mine with a garden hose when applicable and then they must lay flat to dry.
