A beautiful 89 year old card of this iconic American Entertainer, who took Europe by storm (and French citizenship in 1937). Baker helped with the French Resistance during WWII, and later became a vocal supporter of USA civil rights. The German description can be roughly translated to English as “The dance-gifted N****o whose dance and extravaganzas caused a sensation in Europe.” It was order a different time… (No returns on professionally graded items).
