Bacchus/Dionysus God order of Wine Wall Plaque

Hand designed using a hard clay, then molded into a hard copy plaster, then molded again using a silicone rubber mold for a permanent hard backing. Then hand cast into that silicone rubber using a metal mixing bowl, water and a fine sand and cement mix. Then demolded, hand colored using a mix of concrete color, then hand detailed using fine metal instruments, and sealed with a ware based concrete sealer for an authentic old world order look and feel. This classic plaque was designed to reflect the Roman god of wine aka Dionysus who is the Greek god wine making, fertility, ritual madness, grape cultivation theater and ecstasy. Like all the gods, Dionysus is highly religious just like his Roman counterpart Bacchus who as a festival named after him called the Festival of Bacchus from Bacchanalia. Dionysus is the son of Zeus and Semele, which makes him a semi-device hero, in other words he is a bad ass. A wonderful piece for hanging or mounting on a metal trellis, a wooden or metal fence or on a stone or brick wall. Looks great hung up on a trellis with a clematis vine, lots of green shrubbery. I have embedded a galvanized wire hook on back for easy mounting outdoors. He looks great in a green or sun room. I absolutely adore looking at this piece and being inspired by the gods of the Ancient world was and still is a huge influence and inspiration on my love to create art from the past to the present. Made to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures outdoors. Measures "22.5" H by "13" W by "1/2" D and weighs approx. 28 lbs.
