The mini bowl is one of our most popular bowls. They are very unique and have many uses. Each has its own charm and characteristics. These hand carved bowls are not made from store bought lumber. They are made from raw wood directly from a harvested tree. This is what gives the bowl its beauty and character.

What you get by selecting the bowl is "not for candles", is a bowl with character. It is not an inferior bowl. It is just a bowl that will not work for candle pouring because of the natural wood characteristics. Overall, it's typically just a cooler, unique looking bowl with more character.

What you get by selecting the bowl is "for candles", the main thing we look for is that it will hold wax. So, we may have to avoid some of the beautiful bowl characteristics to prevent leakage. We are now repairing some of the areas of concern with a paintable, heat tolerable, water resistant product. We have water tested this type of repair and it is working to prevent leaks. All the repairs will be out of sight when you pour the wax. Some do a water test prior to pouring wax and this is completely up to you. Do know that when not done properly, you can damage the bowl and we are not responsible. If you choose to do so, only test for a few seconds and then dry the bowl completely. If you have a leak, seal with glue of choice. We recommend clear gorilla glue.

Please do understand that a wood bowl is not like pouring into glass. Despite all of our efforts, wood can be problematic and not just our bowls but any wood bowl. Do trust in us that we will do our absolute very best to hand pick the best ones for candle use but do understand the risk, because we do not make any claims or guarantees. We do recommend using some type of warning label on your candles. One that says something like, "never leave unattended" and/or "do not burn past 1/4" of wax". Also, some candle makers prefer deeper bowls, and some prefer shallow bowls because they hold less wax. If you have a preference, just add it in the ordering notes and we'll do our best.

The asterisks “*” in the title means you will get the exact bowl in the picture. This doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the bowl. It just means you will get exactly what is ordered but do look the pictures over closely. If there is anything out of the normal, we will do our best to take a close up photo.

This is not a listing for the exact bowl in the picture. So if you're picky or you are not ok with me sending a bowl similar to the one in the pictures, then make sure you contact me and we will work together to get you the bowl that is right for you.

COMBINE SHIPPING: We do combine order shipping on multiple items. Once the order is placed we will package, measure and weigh. At that point we will be able to get an exact shipping quote. Then we will refund the shipping overages. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing the shipping cost until the order is placed. Also, if you place two separate orders, let us know so we can combine them. Otherwise, we have no way of knowing.

ABOUT OUR BOWLS:
These beautiful bowls are not machine made. They are all hand hewed from one solid piece of wood. These rustic bowls are newly made to look old. They are perfectly imperfect. Please do not expect machine made perfection. Every bowl is different. Meaning no two are the same but they are very similar. So the bowl you receive may be a little different from the uploaded pictures, unless this is a listing with asterisks in the title.

When you carve out a bowl from a large tree, occasionally you end up with chips, cracks, knot holes, scratches, knife marks and or saw marks but this is all part of the character of the bowl. Some may not sit perfectly flat or perfectly level. Some are not perfectly shaped. These are not defects. These imperfections are what give the piece character. If you'd like to request a specific character or would prefer one with none of the mentioned, just add a note when ordering and we'll do our best.

The pictures we show are the best representation of the bowl. Paint colors and stains may appear a little different due to lighting when this picture was taken or because of the computer monitor.

RETURNS:
With any online order there is a third party service (shipping service) between the buyer and seller. Once this service is rendered, there is no way to recoup the cost of those services for any reason. Also, if you decide to return your order, return shipping will be the buyers sole responsibility.
