Dates 1913

The Winecoff Hotel was located in Atlanta, Georgia. Built in 1913, it was the tallest building in Atlanta at that time. It was built by William Fleming Winecoff and touted to be fireproof because it was built of brick and stone. In 1946, It became the scene of the worst fire in US history killing 119 people, including Mr. Winecoff and his wife as well as many notable people. The building at that time had no fire escapes, sprinkler systems or fire doors.

This dresser tray was produced the same year as the Hotel opening and was one of its original decorations.

It measures approximately 11” by 8” wide by 1/3” deep

It is in good antique condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is wear to finish and color, though it still presents well.

As always please refer to order pictures to better assess condition for yourself as they are the best true indicator of condition and serve as an integral part of the description
