Unique and aesthetic Meteorite from Muonionalusta, Sweden! This rare, metallic silver plate is a famous Muonionalusta meteorite, discovered in 1906 in northern Sweden. It has been dated as over 900,000 years old and is an iron meteorite (iron-nickel alloy) classified as a fine octahedrite and originally impacted in northern Scandinavia. This meteorite is well-known for striking and classic Widmanstatten patterns. The patterns are detailed and robust on both sides. There's also almost a rainbow iridescence in the light within the metallic silver etchings! Perfect large thumbail sized display famous Swedish space rock at about 3/4 x 3/4 inch.
