The Crucifix Mexican Sacred Heart order Painting

Another piece for my Mexican Heart series - a series close and dear to my heart. The Mexican Sacred Heart has great symbolism and it's very popular within the Mexican culture. I have taken the liberty of re-composing it to what it means to me. It's a series full of texture, vibrant colors and mixed media. I'll start with an idea and look around to see what I can incorporate. Making each piece is exciting, emotional, and always satisfying.

On this piece I incorporated encaustic material which I love. It gives you the order ability of collating images as if they are floating on top of the painting. The options for texturing are really interesting as you can see in the darker lines and outlines in the piece. It's a completely different look. I love it's vintage look. Hope you enjoy.
