My selling price is determined by what I had to pay. The retail replacement figure is designed for bricks and mortar jewelers with high overheads. I used to supply jewelers, and bought gems in volume so I could sell to them at prices that allowed them to make a profit and still left a profit for myself. Many were purchased years ago.
THIS IS A GENUINE EARTH MINED tourmaline. I will provide, FOR AN ADDITIONAL $5, a signed and sealed appraisal by me for retail replacement of $220. A gemologist for decades, specializing in coloured stones, I am now retired. If you prefer, I can provide a written appraisal signed and sealed by a master valuer ( at time of this listing I am using Steven Knight GG, R.M.V., CJA-CAP) for approx. $40. You have to ask for and pay for prior to shipping as it must be sent to his lab. Takes a week or so.

Better gems and jewelry items are kept in bank vault for security purposes and retrieving an item can cause a slight shipping delay. I usually only visit the bank Monday mornings, and then ship UPS. If you buy an item on a Monday afternoon, your purchase may not go out until the following week. If you need in hurry, please contact me first and I will tell you if I can make a trip up to retrieve before the usual visit. Will try to help if I can.

Even smaller pictures, while more accurately showing how the gem looks to the naked eye, still show the gem MUCH larger than it is of course.... if you are not sure how big this is , make certain you check on a measure marked in millimeters... the standard for measuring gems.)

Each earth mined gem is a unique work of art, unlike the lab produced stones that can be produced in unlimited quantities.
Even worse than the lab produced stones are the glass enhanced ones....almost worthless.
