UNUSED YARDAGE order Vintage 1948 Puritan Chinoiserie fabric material upholstery hammered rayon

I'm over the moon with this discovery! This is only the second time in my career that I've discovered a bolt of vintage fabric, UNUSED! This bolt was manufactured around 1948 and the selvage reads " Guarenteed to be a Puritan print design Nanking" ~ the tag was taped on to the bolt holder, I was thrilled! So, we know now that this fabric is a hammered Rayon and cotton..( I love
that it says " we recommend cleansing not laundering " ~ so, dry clean only~ :) This bolt has a stunning chinoiserie design on an ivory ground. The sheen is wonderful!~ ~ this fabric is a heavy weight upholstery fabric, ideal for curtains, upholstery etc. This bolt was found wrapped around the original bolt stiffener and was folded in half , so there is a fold line down the middle that I ironed but there is a pale dirt mark along the fold , this may ( SHOULD) dry clean away ~ but may order still leave a pale trace ~ A wonderful and exciting find!

MEASUREMENTS: I'm selling this fabric by the one yard length . Each purchase is for a length that measures : 36 inches inches long ( one yard) by 43 inches wide.
