The artist:
Master ceramist Aldo Londi (1911-2003) spent most order of his long and successful career creating outstanding work for the Italian ceramics factory Bitossi Ceramiche. Londi used his outstanding technical skills and experience with traditional craft methods to create distinctively expressive and idiosyncratic shapes, patterns and glazes. Londi's best known collection is Rimini Blu (1955-1965), a now iconic Mid Century Modern series.
