Although White Buffalo is often referred to as “White Turquoise” that is a false statement. The White Buffalo Stone or Sacred Buffalo stone was first discovered in the farthest edge of the Dry Creek Turquoise vein in Nevada. This is probably the reason for why it is referred to as “Turquoise”. White Buffalo consists of Calcite, quartz & silica.

JEWELRY CARE

As with all silver jewelry, this gem should be taken off before using chemicals: Pool, hot tub, changing oil, cleansers, lotion etc. Take off jewelry before doing anything that could mar or scratch the stone and silver for ultimate longevity. DO NOT use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner on turquoise or variscite. Sterling silver oxidizes over time. Use a polish cloth to bring back your desired luster. If using a silver polishing compound, please avoid the stone.
