This shirt features a double sided graphic of Adidas' famous trefoil logo. Adidas was founded in the 1920s by Adolf "Adi" Dassler and his brother, Rudolph. Dassler persuaded Jesse Owens to wear his shoes during the 1936 Olympics, which significantly bolstered the brands popularity. The brothers had a falling out and Rudolph went on to start the competing shoe company Puma. The trefoil design came into being in the early 70s but Adidas wanted to keep the three stripe design for which they were known. Dassler had bought the three stripe design from a struggling, Finnish shoe brand for 1,600 euro and 2 bottles of whiskey. The leaves on the trefoil represent the three continents where adidas shoes were sold: Asia, Europe order, and North America.
