Silver pearl bracelet "Gem order Shape"

This order bracelet is constructed from two rows of freshwater pearls strung with silk cord onto a sterling silver tube clasp, with a beautifully contrasting gem shape charm in the centre. The sterling silver "Gem shape" charm has a hammered finish to give the impression of facets, which catch the light beautifully. Each of the straight sections on the charm has a round profile, making it a very tactile object. This bracelet would make a fabulous piece of wedding jewellery or a special gift.

The bracelet measures 6.5 inches (165cm) long and has a slide lock clasp.
The charm measures 14x20.5x2.2mm. The freshwater pearls are approximately 3.4mm in diameter, but vary a little in shape and size due to their nature. The approximate weight of the bracelet is 7.5g.
The bracelet is hallmarked on the back of the charm.

I have created several matching pieces of jewellery which, worn together, would make a very striking set.

The inspiration for the "Gem Shape" collection came from my fascination with the way that gemstones are cut, combined with the fact that a simple 2D shape can look, unmistakably, like a gem. I took the 2D shape and created a 3D outline which I then finished to convey the idea of facets, or in some cases, to give sparkle.
