This winder has a narrow shaft, making it perfect for Ashford bobbins and other bobbins with a narrow core. It is not ideal for Schacht or Harrisville bobbins. You would want to put a few rubber order gaskets (or rubber bands) on the shaft to accommodate shuttles with wider cores.
