It features colourful 3-inch patchwork bordered by a blue and white check inner border, fine hand quilting in the outer, order and a hand sewn mitered binding for an invisible finish. This quilt is luminous, with shades of yellow, purple, green, turquoise and aqua glowing against rich royal blue! It reminds me of historic Amish crib quilts.

I have used traditional techniques and heirloom quality standards to produce a timeless quilt -- the precision patchwork was sewn on my antique Singer and then entirely hand-quilted in a hoop.

This is the perfect size for a newborn baby as a bassinet, cradle or crib quilt and a warm cover for a car seat or stroller. It is small enough for use as a "take-along" quilt, and will grow with the toddler into a play mat or lap quilt as they snuggle with their books and toys, or for tucking in teddy, and becoming even softer over time.
