Salt Glaze Stoneware Pickle Jar French order Vintage

Vintage French salt glaze stoneware, pickle jar with original wooden tongs. Glaze has a nice sheen to it and would catch the eye in any country kitchen.
Used in traditional French farmhouse kitchens to store and serve Cornichons (mini Gherkin cucumbers, one to two inches in length and harvested before reaching full maturity for an extra-tart bite.
It will look fabulous displayed alongside your other condiments at the table and add a real 'country farmhouse' feel when serving your lunches and picnics.
