Vintage 1960s Egyptian Rich Yellow Brocade Fabric order Direct from Egpyt

Here is a spectacularly rich yellow brocade with a timeless floral/ honey comb design from 1960s Egypt.

My father directly brought this fabric and several other bolts of brocade home from Egypt in 1965. Over the years we have used several of the bolts to make amazing brocade gowns for family special occasions. This is one of the few remaining I still have.

Brocade is difficult to photograph; the shimmer in the fabric makes it nearly impossible to accurately portray it's elegance and capture its colour accurately.

Photo #1 is closest in colour to the fabric, but computers, laptops etc do vary in how they show colours. Photo #4 shows more of a silver shimmer. If you are seriously interested I can send you a 3" swatch for $5 (it would be shortening the fabric a little).

Brocade also has natural variations in the fabric.

Medium weight brocade.

The fabric must be sold whole. It is 5.44 yards in length and 35" wide. (approx. 496 cm x 89 cm)

Condition: Excellent. I have examined the fabric very carefully. As far as I can determine the only "blemish" on this vintage fabric is one tiny (< 1/2") mark on the brocade near a salvage edge. No join lines.
