This is an exceptional vintage display piece! It's in decent condition. Of course it has stains as it was made to hold water. There is a bit of thread gray at the top seam, as shown in the photo. The lettering is completely intact and the lid mechanism is snug and works well. It is 15" wide and 11 1/2" tall. This has been on display in my home and it gets attention from everyone who walks in. order Desert water bags were once a common sight on the highways of the American Southwest. Designed to keep water cool under hot conditions, desert water bags were available at service stations and general stores, where they could be filled with water and hung on the outside of the vehicle to keep cool.
