1960s Ceramic Dish Mari Simmulson Upsala Ekeby Sweden Mid order Century Modern 43130/540 M

Mid-century 1960s Upsala Ekeby small ceramic dish designed by Mari Simmulson, features a textured geometric pattern at center in shades of brown, green, and gray, orange stipe on the rim, brown finish underneath, stamped on the bottom "UE Sweden", model number "43130/540 M", made in Sweden.

Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) is one of the well-known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. She was one of the leading designers for Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby in the 1940s-1960s. Simmulson is represented at the Swedish National Museum order of Art and Design.
