70s Mini Dress / Vintage 1970s 60s Floral Dress Pocket order Quilted Mandarin Collar Cap Sleeve Lace / Women Small Medium / Tori Richard Hawaiian

1970s HAWAIIAN DRESS

I've had this AMAZING dress in my personal collection for years and somehow never got around to wearing it, so it's time for her to find a new home!

Features include:
* Stunning fabric! There are large purple/pink hibiscus flowers at the order right front and back hips, and above that is abstract color blocking to create the illusion of white sand, green grass, the blue sea, and a pink sunset sky complete with light gray birds. It's a lightweight/fairly sheer synthetic material, most likely polyester.
* Quilted Mandarin collar with a keyhole neckline below that; covered button at the top of the keyhole
* Quilted short cap sleeves
* Loose sheath shape
* Rectangular pocket at front left hip made with matching fabric and dark green lace. The pocket does not appear original (please see flaws below) and can't really hold anything heavy like a phone well without pulling the rest of the dress out of place.
* Mini dress length- very short so please double check the length measurement below before purchasing
* Center back purple plastic zipper
* Label: Tori Richard

The approximate size is Medium, but please pay attention to these measurements, taken laying flat and buttoned/zipped up:
Bust (doubled): 36"
Waist (doubled): 34"
Hips (doubled): 38"
Total length: 30.5"
Shoulder to shoulder: 16"
Sleeve length: 3.25"

This garment is in very good vintage condition, meaning it has one or more noted minor flaws that are easily reparable or already repaired, but it is still wearable as purchased. These flaws include:
* Hem does not appear original- this is the biggest flaw. The stitches are messily hand done (easy fix if it bothers you) and I'm guessing this was a midi or maxi length dress originally, but was at some point cut into this mini length (not by me!). The additional fabric from this hem alteration seems to then have been used to make the hip pocket with some random lace they possibly had on hand.
* Short pulled threads- two at the front right shoulder and armpit, two on the right sleeve (kind of blends into the quilting), one at back left hip next to zipper, and two at back right shoulder blade, one at side seam near pocket
* Pen marks on the inside of the back panel show where someone was previously contemplating putting in darts and smaller side seams at the armpits- since the fabric is very lightweight and light colored in these areas this writing is fairly visible, but does get a little lost in the rest of the busy design.
* Top corners of the fabric underneath the pocket show slight stress and small almost-holes from being used as a not very sturdy pocket

This dress was hand washed with gentle soap, air dried, and lightly steamed.
