1940s Evening Hostess Gown Deep V Neckline Scalloped Midriff Sewing Pattern Butterick 4133 Ingrid Bergman Arch of Triumph Inspired Sz 12 B30
Butterick 4133; late 1940s; Misses' Hostess Gown: Scalloped Midriff. Graceful flowing hostess gown features a deep V neck, long length deep armhole sleeves (A); short full sleeves in parachute silhouette (B). Scalloped inset midriff creates waistline flattery. Contrast bodice, sleeves and front panel, view A.

According to a 1947 Butterick booklet, inspired by the clothes worn by Ingrid Bergman in order Arch of Triumph (movie released in 1948) (ref.). Other gowns from this picture were Butterick 4127 and 4115.
