My old wood picture frames are made of old oak half-timbered beams, which have defied the weather for centuries and have probably already participated in a lot.
The long weathering has created this unique character.
Thanks to a carpenter friend who regularly restores old half-timbered houses, I came to the old beams. With his work, half-timbered beams are repeatedly produced, which are definitely too beautiful for the stove. Through my work, these beams get a second life as an eye-catcher, maybe soon on your wall!
The frames are made in such a way that a DIN A3 sheet finds space in them. The picture is held in which it is placed between a glass pane and a hardboard, then the whole thing is placed in the frame with the retaining strips and screwed.
For hanging on the wall, there are foam head hangers on the back.
