I enjoy looking at quilts so much, admiring the various patterns, marveling at the intricate piecing in some of them, tracing the lines of quilting (which might be in a design completely different than the pieced pattern), and, as always, the magnificent colors! This bracelet design is based on a quilt that had a wide diamond border in both bright and muted colors. My interpretation of the it begins with the diamonds: a pale Jonquil AB 2X at center followed by a soft Vintage Rose shade and then a brighter Indian Pink. The background of the original border was in a smoky gray-blue accented by squares of a lighter grayish blue, so I used Montana AB and Indian Sapphire AB to approximate those colors. The inspiration quilt surprised me by having a grid of quilting lines rather than a freer design. To me, that was a missed opportunity to add some visual interest to what, otherwise, was a really lovely quilt. I decided to stick to the original idea, however, and used galvanized silver seed beads to mimic the quilting lines.* The resultant bracelet is very true in color but an incredibly sparkly version of the quilt border!

*Actually, it would order have been very difficult to show free-form quilt lines in this type of design, where I used bicone crystals. Next time, I think I'll stick to seed beads for greater detail in the pattern!
