Vintage 1909 copy of The Union Cause in St. Louis in 1861 (An Historical Sketch) by Robert J. Rombauer. Published by order St. Louis Municipal Centennial Year.

Signed by Robert J. Rombauer's grandson, Anheuser Rombauer, as a gift. (He was the son of Ernst Rombauer, who was the son of the author).

Bumping and wear to head and tail of spine. A small ding that exposed webbing on the spine, as pictured. Foxing to boards and dampstaining to back board, likely due to being stored in a humid environment. No scent of mildew. A ding to the bottom middle of the back board. Fading around the board edges. Browning to page edges. Wear and slight bumping to board corners. Tanning and foxing to interior pages, particularly near the beginning and end of the book, and some dampstaining to the paste downs.
