Gray textured hard cover with a gold gilded lettering.
The frontispiece depicting the figure of Stonewall Jackson and protected by a onion skin type sheet of thin paper.
Another three great illustrations: The Lovers, The Battle, The Vedette features in the inside of the book at the pages: 220, 456, 642.
The Long Roll is laid in Virginia during Jackson's campaigns. The North American Review called order it the " best Civil War Novel yet" .
It's the best in inside and out.
Amazing , excellent condition. Prefect from " head to toe". The hard cover is clean without any damage . The binding at the edges has a tiny discoloration, but it's not the issue for 110
years old beauty. All 682 pages super clean and attached to solid, strong spine.The first blank page has a hand writing name ( please see the photo).
