Charming Mexico scene 9 1/2" x 11 1/2 of a woman collecting water in the cobbled streets of a village. order A hand-painted plaster mold with a hanging wire on the back. Very good condition.
Possibly made in southern California as part of the 'romantic Mexico' decorative era of the late 40's early 50's.
No identification marks unfortunately. Collected in N. California in the 80's at an Ethnographic show in Marin county. Mexican motifs have always been popular in California as it's our heritage, of course.
