The forest is a beautiful and enchanting setting but it can also be a dark and mysterious place at times; not unlike life itself. As Sara Maitland writes in her book “From the Forest: A search for the hidden roots of Faery tales” She says that “The forest is the place of trial in Fairytales, both dangerous & exciting. While coming to terms with the forest, one learns to survive its terrors, utilize its gifts, and gain its help along the journey.”

Many creatures reside within the forest, but for most humans, it's a place you pass through to get to somewhere else. You can't see very far ahead in the forest as you would in open land or sea. Things change quickly as we make our way through a wild forest. You may even find that what you sought out to find, wasn't exactly what you sought after all, but you won't know that until you have found it.

The Forest of Enchantment deck draws in many fairy tales as inspiration but also none specifically. For instance, if you see Merlin in the Wizard card, that is so. But, if you see Luke Skywalker in the Wizard card, then this is also true.

The Forest of enchantment deck is full of adventurous scenes which includes many archetypes such as; Witches order, Wizards, Beasts of all variety, Faeries, Elves, Shapeshifters & Royal knights.
The artist, Meraylah; draws inspiration from the enchanted English British forests, which she knows firsthand as you will see and feel in her art.
