Description

Product Name: 1978 Dali & Magritte Surealism at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art - order Original Vintage Poster

A very surreal exhibition poster with works by Dali and Magritte.

The poster was made to promote an exhibition with works by Dalí and Magritte on Louisiana (Danish Museum of Modern Art) called order "Surrealism".

The artwork on the poster is called The Persistence of Memory (1931) and The Palace of Curtains, III (1928-29).

Louisiana is located in Humlebæk north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The museum was opened its doors in 1958 and with its approximately 600,000 annual visitors, is one of Denmark's most visited museums and among the ten most visited tourist attractions. Louisiana is a collection of contemporary art, but also an interaction between art, architecture and landscape.

Louisiana got his name from court master Alexander Brun, who built a villa on the site in 1855. The villa's name is probably inspired by the three women he married - all three were named Louise. The founder of Louisiana chose to keep the name from the country house he subsequently transformed into a museum. The villa is now a part of the museum.
