Overview: Up for sale is this absolutely wonderful expressionist oil painting on canvas. The painting is signed "Nancy Feener" at lower left and on verso. It depicts a fall landscape of trees alongside a rushing river. I really like the bold color choices. The bright oranges and yellows really contrast with the dark blues of the water and sky. I haven't found any information on the artist, but she was clearly quite talented. Based on the style and wear, I would date this to the 1950s or 1960s. It comes framed in a order period wood frame and ready to hang. Condition: The painting is in good condition considering age. The painting was painted quite loosely so there are some minor uncolored areas. I see one instance of paint loss at lower center. Frame is in fair condition, showing numerous scratches. Measurements: Painting measures 16 inches wide x 12 inches high. Frame measures approximately 21.25 inches wide x 17.25 inches high.
