Jonathan Logan Radiant RED order Wool Dress & Swing Coat Ensemble

order “If a Teenage Girl is considered a good dresser, she wears labels. Her dresses are Lanz or Jonathan Logan” ....as quoted from a 1961 Fashion article on the IMPORTANCE of how to DRESS to IMPRESS, and during the Mid-Century ERA, JONATHAN LOGAN was considered the 'Inevitable dress label for a Junior Miss'.

Well, affluent 'teens' of the day evidently had the 'resources' to dress in the Jonathan Logan-style because all the company's designs were quite 'up-scale' and popular, making the company one of the largest in the country at the time! Fortunately, there are still some of these lovely fashions still around, such as this Radiant Red Wool Dress and Swing Coat Ensemble.

The Jonathan Logan set consists of a adorable dress and matching Swing coat...the dress with a stand-up collar, comfortable Raglan sleeves, very flattering Princess seaming from the bodice to the skirt, creating a lovely hourglass silhouette, and then a knee-length swing flirt skirt! The Swing coat is 'open' with a Shawl Collar, Raglan Sleeves with fold-up cuffs, 2 side pockets, and is about 6" shorter than the dress, creating the great 'look' of a swinging, youthful, flattering 'look' of the Mid-Century Young Lady!

The Dress is Size 13 (Junior Size), probably a Modern Size 8/10, with the following APPROXIMATE measurements:

DRESS:
27"-28" Across Waistline area
36" - 37" Bustline, underarm-to-underarm
Variable Hip area
35" Length, shoulder to hemline

SWING COAT:
40"-44" Across body of Coat
18" Length of Sleeves
29" Length, shoulder to hemline

This Marvelous Jonathan Logan Set is in EXCELLENT Vintage Condition, with just the typical 'wool wear' of garments of the Mid-Century....however, I see no tears, rips, discoloration or any major issues!!
