Radiator or Vent Grate, Large Arched order Tombstone Style, Old Art Nouveau Architectural Salvage

Look at the detail on this fantastic old metal radiator or vent grate cover. Made of solid metal, this grate cover has developed a lovely patina. This arched shape is among the rarest, and some call it a "tombstone" shape for obvious reasons. The metal front decorative grate is in good condition, with no breaks, no repairs, no welds. The fan embossing around the perimeter gives this extra bling, and the inside grill is raised. Some of the white paint is flaking, and there is superficial rust. There are 3 louvers on the back, and their movement would benefit from lubrication. This is probably from the Art Nouveau period, perhaps 1890 to 1910. Imagine this as a bathroom medicine cabinet door, or imagine this with a candle lit behind - wow! Make a shadow box and use this as a spooky Halloween prop. Or just mount this on a wall and admire the texture and contrasting details! It measures about 14 1/8" high and is about 10 1/8" wide and about 2 3/4" deep. It weighs about 8 1/2 pounds.
