DIY materials from the period 1880 to 1970 in a large tin with an embossed bottom:

These tin cans were usually filled with gingerbread and sent to family members or friends at Christmas time.
These decorative tins are collectible and have become very popular with international collectors.

Despite being 25 years old, the tin can is in perfect condition and worth collecting. The paper attached to the inside of the lid with information about the Meistersinger and the Nuremberg Lebkuchen factory is also impeccable.

When the hinged lid is opened, a journey through time begins through the sewing/handicraft room with DIY materials from the period 1880 to 1970.
You can find interesting handicraft and sewing utensils: ancient black lace, among other things for easy finishing, 1 choker and 1 other neck decoration made of Victorian lace, tulle lace, applications, pearl embroidery, handicrafts, scraps of fabric, pleated blinds, velvet and woven ribbons, soutache, Metallic lace and fringes, buttons, decorative stones to sew on and trimmings patches, rare items made of paper and Dresden cardboard/paper braids, etc.

Even if there are sometimes only small leftovers, they were saved anyway. These materials can still be used and used decoratively in scrapbooks, junk journals, on greeting cards, for smaller DIY projects and in the miniatures sector.

Whoever buys this sewing / handicraft box will also find some parts on the journey of discovery that are not shown in these 10 photos. Even the outer filling material of the packaging could still be useful ;o)
