Santa Claus Gourd is Hand Painted and full of Christmas Cheer! This large gourd was hand chosen from a local farm field, allowed to dry for many months, then cleaned and prepared for painting.

Dried seeds remain inside, which give this holiday decoration a soft rattling sound when shaken.

Many layers of acrylic paint have been applied to create this sweet faced Santa. Several coats of clear acrylic were applied after painting was complete; this creates the gourd a durable satin finish. Raffia wrapped wire was coiled and glued to the bottom, this gives Santa a sturdy, stable base.
