Rare set of order 8 antique Mintons A4886 English china dinner plates with free shipping

While I love virtually all English china patterns, I have a special place in my heart for Minton. There's something about the vivid colors and exotic patterns (Pink Cockatrice! Green Cockatrice!) that makes me think of madcap dinner parties in conservatories filled with faded wicker chairs, palm trees, parrots who converse in a British accent and other remnants of The Empire.

If you share my love of Minton, you'll adore this exceedingly rare set of 8 china dinner plates in the very lovely (and long-discontinued) A4886 pattern.

They were made for Spaulding & Co. and would have been shipped by steamer from England to Chicago - imagine! In the same spirit, I will pack them carefully and ship them to you at no charge via ground. (free shipping applies only to U.S. destinations)

As you can see from the photos, they are in fine vintage shape, with beautiful turquoise borders and a beautiful hand-painted floral pattern in vivid colors and no visible cracks or chips.
