Included in the box set are The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King, complete with the original red slipcase box. No handwriting, all four books are clean and dry. Some are in better condition than others - some appear to have been gently read, some in unread condition.
Please note these flaws in the photos:
The Return book has a crease on the front cover. It also has some tiny residue from a small round price sticker. The Fellowship book has a few creases on the front cover.

The original red cardboard slipcase shows wear but it's still fully intact and in decent vintage condition. The books are a tight fit, as is the case with all of these old boxed Tolkien sets. The books are 1974 printings (various months). They measure 7 inches by 4 inches. This is a Vintage Item and is Sold As Is.
